Disclamer: While we try to provide up-to-date information, all times and rates shown are subject to change without notice.
NOTE: This schedule is in two parts.
Schedule 1 is for trips in one direction
Schedule 2 is for trips in the opposite direction.
LARGE VEHICLES PLEASE NOTE: Drivers of large vehicles (i.e., motorhomes, RVs, etc.) may wish to check before taking the ferries as it may be difficult for some large vehicles to drive aboard during certain tides.
The ferry passes near (but easily avoids) the Old Sow Whirlpool area. Depending on the stage of the tide, you may get a glimpse of the maelstrom.

Campobello
Island Ferry Landing
Deer Island Ferry
Landing at Deer Island Point
Campobello
Island Ferry Landing at Welshpool
(to
Deer
Island)
From US Route 1, at Whiting, follow Maine Route 189 to Lubec, and to the Roosevelt Memorial International Bridge.
Crossing the bridge onto Campobello Island, New Brunswick, requires clearing Canada Customs and Immigration. (See Border Crossing Information.)
After crossing onto Campobello Island, follow New Brunswick Route 774 past the entrance to the Roosevelt Campobello International Park, and continue until it comes to a Tee in the road. (Route 774 goes to the right.) If you go too far, you'll soon come to a sign announcing a turnoff to Herring Cove Provincial Park. **
If coming from Lubec or Roosevelt Park, turn left at the Tee in the road, into the village of Welshpool.**
If coming from Herring Cove Provincial Park, or points north on the island (i.e., Wilson's Beach or Head Harbour Lighthouse), when you arrive at the Tee in the road (Route 774 turns left), drive straight ahead, into the village of Welshpool. **
** Continue until you reach a Stop Sign. Continue past the Stop Sign for a few hundred metres / feet. The ferry landing is a narrow lane on the left ending at the beach, and is marked with a sign.
Park in line behind the ferry sign, and wait for the ferry's horn to sound, or a hand signal from the crew before embarking.
LARGE VEHICLES PLEASE NOTE: Drivers of large vehicles (i.e., motorhomes, RVs, etc.) may wish to check before taking the ferries as it may be difficult for some large vehicles to drive aboard during certain tides.
Deer
Island Point Ferry Landing
(to
Campobello
Island, NB)
New Brunswick Route 772 on the south half of the island forms a loop, with a turnoff (on the right if traveling from Fairhaven, or on the left if traveling from Leonardville and the Leonardville Lighthouse) to Deer Island Point Park before the highway turns back on itself.
The Campobello Island ferry landing is just prior to the Deer Island Point Park office. Park your vehicle in line behind the sign and wait for the ferry's horn to sound, or a hand signal from the crew before embarking.
LARGE VEHICLES PLEASE NOTE: Drivers of large vehicles (i.e., motorhomes, RVs, etc.) may wish to check before taking the ferries as it may be difficult for some large vehicles to drive aboard during certain tides.
