Hours: (Seasonal June to October) Now accessible by shuttle boat or visitors' vechicles throughout the day. Times of access and departure (listed on the official website use Historic Site link, above) change daily with the tides. Guides ensure visitors' departures.
"Covenhoven," the 50-room summer mansion, built in 1903 by Canadian Pacific Railroad tycoon, Sir William Van Horne along with a bathhouse, gardener's cottage, coachhouse, garage, windmill, livestock barn, farmhand's quarters, and the Parson Andrews house, the oldest building on the island (circa 1790) are now an historic site.
NOTE: Due to the hazardous tide, all visitors must follow staff instructions. No smoking and no pets.
