USGA Rules govern, with the following exceptions:

  1. All players must register at club house.
  2. No more than 4 playing together.
  3. One stroke penalty on drainage ditches (wet or dry) with exception of tee shot on 1 and 3 free lift (but must be within your own fairway).
  4. Repair divots and ball marks immediately.
  5. Practicing on golf course prohibited.
  6. Free lift from service road on 7.
  7. No alcoholic beverages allowed on golf course or golf carts.
  8. Abuse of privileges or violation of rules and regulations governing the use of golf course or golf carts may be sufficient cause for revoking season or daily permit.

How to get there: Course is on Jonesboro-Roque Bluffs Road. From Jonesboro, take road just east of the village on US Route 1. From Machias, near the west edge of town, take the Roque Bluffs Road, and turn right at the intersection marking the route to the golf course.

A challenging 9 holes, looking out to the Bay of Fundy. Men's course follows blue tees "out" (holes 1-9) and white tees "in" (holes 10-18). Women's course follows gold tees throughout.

There is a practice fairway next to Fairway No. 9 and a practice green near the Hole 1 Tee.

Golf Etiquette & Local Rules

  1. The rules of play are those of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews as approved by the Royal Canadian Golf Association.
  2. Allow faster players to play through.
  3. When the ball is lost, wave through following players. Do not recommence until the waved through group is out of range.
  4. Keep carts off greens, aprons and tees.
  5. Use the waste receptacles--do not litter the course.
  6. Obey the Course Marshall.
  7. Out of Bounds defined by white stakes on Hole No. 9.
  8. Lateral Water Hazards defined by the red stakes in Holes No. 4, 5 and 6.
  9. Water hazards defined by yellow stakes on Holes No. 4, 5 and 6.
  10. Please replace divots, rake bunkers, repair ball marks on greens.

How to get there: Follow the signs to Herring Cove Provincial Park. Golf course is on the road to the left just before reaching Herring Cove Beach.

Local Rules:

  1. All property belonging to the St. Criox Country Club, Inc. is in bounds and the grass covered portions of the main highway though not belonging to the club, is in bounds. The highway itself from ditch to ditch is out of bounds.
  2. All ditches are water hazards whether they contain water or not. One club length free relief from rock drainage ditches.
  3. A ball lying in a parallel water hazard may be dropped on either side of the hazard within two club lengths of the hazard but not nearer the hole. (1 stroke penalty.)
  4. A ball lying on any surface prepared for putting, other than the one being played to, must be lifted and dropped off the prepared surface at the nearest available point, not in a hazard and not nearer the hole, without penalty.
  5. A ball coming to rest in or within a club length of a drain leading out of a trap, may be lifted and dropped according to rule, without penalty.
  6. Please observe golf etiquette.

RCGA official rules govern all play except where amended by local rules.

  1. Ditches are Hazards. All trench drains, whether holding water or not, may be considered water hazards.
  2. Please replace divots and repair ball marks.
  3. A ball may be lifted from all marked trees and dropped one club length away from trees not near the hole. No penalty.
  4. If a match loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it must allow match following to pass.

How to get there: From Highway 1, travelling east from St. Stephen, turn right at the Red Rooster.

Seaside Masterpiece created by Thomas McBroom. 18 hole par 72 course ranges from 5,207 to 6,908 yards. These links offer beautiful wooded surrounds on the shores of Passamaquoddy Bay.

Driving Range: 500 yards with 4 tees. Also, separate hole for short game practice.

Local Rules

  1. Hazards--All hazard ditches and ponds are staked accordingly.
  2. Golf Cart--All golf carts must stay at least 30 feet from greens and kept on pathways where provided. Obey all signs and keep of the tees.
  3. Roads and Pathways--Paths and roadways within the golf course property are obstructions. Ball lying on an obstruction may be lifted and dropped one club length not nearer the hole. (Rule 24-2). Road between No. 12 and No. 15 is considered part of the golf course.
  4. Out-of-Bounds--Out of bounds is defined by white stakes on No. 13 and No. 17, and defined by the right hand edge of paved roadway on No. 11 and No. 18.
  5. Ball may be moved from all staked trees one club length, not nearer the hole.

Consideration of Other Players

  1. Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind to pass.
  2. After holing out, scores should be marked at next tee.
  3. Please allow faster players to play through.
  4. Stop Slow Play--Please keep up with the group in front.
  5. Dress--Dress must be in keeping with the standards of this course. Bathing attire, cut-offs and short-shorts are not considered proper dress and are not allowed. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.

How to get there: To the right, on highway 127, just prior to reaching town.
